“Oh my god, you are breaking my immersion”

“Oh my god, you are breaking my immersion” is a reading series founded in 2025 by illustrator Julia Plath, cultural organiser Julia Wazinski, and theatre maker Nerina Gärtner. Its first edition at Alabama Kino brought together comic artists and musicians to explore digital spaces, liminal spaces, and life online through art.
Now comes part two. This year’s performance turns to the return of romance, fantasy, and the uncanny in the digital age. Four comic and illustration artists, a musician, and a director bring these themes to the stage in a live comic reading with music, light, and projection.
