MYKO – Wissenwertes aus der Welt der Pilze
Daniela Olejníková & Jiří Dvořák
This exhibition takes us underground, to a world we rarely see. Networks beneath the soil that allow trees to communicate, lichens that form miniature forests, and reindeer that could not survive without them: this is the world of fungi. And fungi are everywhere. In “MYKO”, they speak for themselves. What can we learn from organisms that live not in competition, but in networks? This extraordinary non-fiction book for families brings together ten themed chapters, detailed drawings, and a mushroom-like format, creating a web of knowledge, images, and discovery. The Czech original was published by Baobab and won the Bologna Ragazzi Award for Non-Fiction in 2024.
