Irrläufer – Was will der weiße Wal im Rhein?
Sheree Domingo & Patrick Spät
A white whale is stranded in the polluted Rhine, hungry and disoriented. Dr. Wolfgang Gewalt, the director of Duisburg Zoo, decides to rescue him—or is he trying to capture him for his new dolphinarium? Drawn by Sheree Domingo and written by Patrick Spät, “Irrläufer” follows an extraordinary chase through Duisburg in 1966: man against whale, based on a true story. Can the white whale escape and find his way home? The exhibition presents original pages from the comic, sketches, storyboard pages, and historical photographs. The book will be published by Jaja Verlag just in time for the Comicfestival.
