Hallimasch
Max Baitinger

The exhibition focuses on the original drawings for Max Baitinger’s new comic „Hallimasch“, through which the story can also be read in excerpts. In it, engineer Dietz and musician (and notorious thief) Volker drive to Leipzig for the weekend to visit their mutual school friend Acki for the first time in years. Once in Leipzig, however, they realize they’re missing one crucial detail: Acki’s new address. While waiting for news from him, they kill time in pubs and museums—until Volker can’t resist stealing an antique sword from a gallery ... This exhibition marks the release of the book of the same name.
The opening reception is on Friday, October 3, 2025, starting at 8 p.m. (with a book table).
The exhibition will remain open beyond the festival until 10 October 2025 (opening hours: 6–10 October 2025, by appointment via eat@giraffentoast.com or 040-38037980).
