Avocado Nights

James Turek

James-Turek.jpg von James Turek

In his exhibition „Avocado Nights“, cartoonist and illustrator James Turek asks existential questions: Where do we stand in the space-time structure? Who are we when we work together with our friends and colleagues? Does everything we do in this life reverberate into eternity? Can every moment of our lives be considered a valuable reward from the universe, even if we’re rolling burritos for minimum wage? James Turek‘s collection of stories „Taco Days“ takes us on a journey from the mundane world into a mythical struggle to reconcile one‘s own conscious identity with the vast galactic expanses of the collective dream sphere. The „Avocado Nights“ exhibition offers all visitors a deeper glimpse into the real and imagined worlds of „Taco Days“ through drawings, paintings and sculptures.

The opening reception is on Friday, October 3, 2025, starting at 7 p.m.
