ROT
Adéla Bierbaumer

The exhibition RED presents illustrations of Czech-German idioms in which the color red plays a central role — as a symbol of emotions, meanings, and cultural differences between the two languages. The exhibition opens with a joint breakfast, featuring a Hamburg specialty with a surprising visual twist, along with a limited-edition Czech apple cider that recalls the fruit-growing heritage of the original inhabitants of the Czech border region. An unusual combination of visual art, language, and taste — in a place where borders were once controlled and where cultures now come together.
